FXB International is currently working to provide relief to FXB-Village beneficiaries who were left without water, food, shelter and electricity after Cyclone Thane hit India last Friday.
Currently FXB International’s partner in India, FXB India Suraksha, is focusing on assessing the damage and need in project areas, providing emergency food and clean water, and constructing temporary shelters for those that lost their homes.
In the coming days and weeks FXB will continue to respond to the strong demand for water and emergency food relief. FXB will also work to provide access to primary health care aimed at preventing waterborne illnesses, plan for the reconstruction of homes, and help FXB-Village beneficiaries access emergency funds that the government plans to release.
