Today, on World AIDS Orphans Day, I want to take the opportunity to thank you for your support of FXB International’s programs. As a new member of the FXB team, I am inspired by the encouragement FXB has received from partners, donors, volunteers, program participants, and friends around the world.

In 2002, FXB International founded World AIDS Orphans Day to draw attention to the over 16 million children in the world who have been orphaned by AIDS and to say “we must bring the needs of these children to the forefront of our battle against HIV and AIDS.” FXB’s own programs are committed to helping orphans stay in their communities by building stable home environments. Our comprehensive approach provides these children and their caretakers with access to healthcare, education, nutrition, and counseling. FXB also supports micro-enterprise activities to empower families to overcome poverty.
In honor of World AIDS Orphans Day, I have chosen two inspirational stories to share with you. The first is from Marie, a young woman who lost both her parents to AIDS and is now battling HIV.Despite these obstacles, Marie is committed to building a better future for herself and others. The second story is from Wendy Stapleton Reyes, a mother who is helping children like Marie by mobilizing her own network of friends and family. I hope these stories inspire you to stay involved with FXB. With your support, we can continue to change lives.
Sincerely,
Sean Mayberry
