12 Feb 2009 | The Joint Learning Initiative on Children and HIV/AIDS (JLICA) Releases Final Report

The JLICA recently released their final report, “Home Truths: Facing the Facts on Children, AIDS and Poverty.” The report is based on volumes of research and makes the case that children need to be prioritized in the fight against AIDS.
The JLICA report found: “Strong, capable families must be the long-term response to children affected by AIDS” and “Family poverty and gender inequality must be tackled to improve outcomes for children.”
JLICA is an alliance of researchers and policy-makers dedicated to improving the well-being of AIDS-affected children by making actionable policy recommendations. FXB is a proud founding partner of JLICA and has advocated for the same recommendations presented by JLICA for the past 20 years.
FXB Founder & President Albina du Boisrouvray was present at the launch of the report and gave a speech applauding the work.
