Fighting two villains: Poverty and AIDS

During her stay in New Delhi in early 2011, Albina du Boisrouvray gave an interview to the newspaper The Hindu to explain her world view and discuss the basics of the FXB Village Network model. In the article, she states:

“I had many lives, but I was always concerned with being involved with things to do with change. I have always wished in life to do something to change humbly something that was dysfunctional. . . In the FXB Village [Network] model, 80-100 families are chosen for three years. These families are the poorest, the most hard-working, and have many children. We take care of all their needs in the first year such as food, education, health care, sanitation training, psycho-social counseling and empowerment of women. . . [The model] is about funding the extreme poverty of people, funding their basic needs till they can take on through their income generating activity and provide for themselves.”
